Precautions for installation:

The correct installation, reasonable use and regular maintenance of the cardan shaft are essential to ensure its working quality and service life. The following precautions are proposed for your cooperation:

① For any universal shaft with expandable spline pair, it must be checked that the spline sleeve and spline shaft are matched according to the marked position during installation to ensure that the phase difference between the axis of fork head bearing holes at both ends does not exceed 1 °, otherwise, it is impossible to use the universal shaft to make the angular velocity of the driving shaft and the driven shaft equal, so as to generate unnecessary torsional vibration during operation. If the speed is high, the consequences will be serious.

② In principle, both ends of the cardan shaft are either active or driven ends. The installation shall comply with the design drawings of the transmission system. However, the following two points should also be noted:

(1) Spline fitting shall be as far away from vibration source and impact source as possible. (2) Avoid dirt or water entering the spline mating surface as much as possible

③ Before installation, clean the anti rust grease on the flange joint surface, and remove all other unfavorable factors that may reduce the friction force of the contact surface or reduce the joint contact area.

④ The flange connecting bolts of the cardan shaft and part of the P-type fork head connecting bolts must be tightened with a torque wrench according to the requirements of the drawings provided or the specified value of the tightening torque TM specified in the sample parameter table, and turn by turn in a diagonal order to eliminate the hidden danger of looseness of the connecting bolts during work.

⑤ Fill the bearing and spline pair with 2 # industrial lithium grease before operation

⑥ Appropriate safety protection measures must be taken at all places where personal and equipment accidents may occur due to the running universal joint shaft.

Instructions for use and maintenance:

Joint bearing and spline pair of cardan shaft shall be greased every 1-2 weeks under high temperature working conditions; Grease every 500 hours under normal working conditions; Grease once every three months under intermittent working conditions; No. 2 industrial lithium base grease is used as the grease brand.

When oiling the joint shaft, oil the four bearings separately until the dirty grease overflows from the other end of the bearing, and clean grease overflows. For the fixing bolts of the split universal shaft fork head bearing cover of the flange connecting bolts of the universal shaft, after working with load for one shift, check whether they are loose. If they are loose, tighten them again in the specified tightening torque sequence. Repeat several shifts until the tightening force is stable. After that, check whether it is loose regularly, and if it is loose, tighten it according to the tightening torque in time.

During operation, the cardan shaft shall be frequently observed to see if there is any abnormal radial swing of the bearing heating phenomenon, and timely maintenance is required if these phenomena are found. The maintenance period of the cardan shaft in normal operation is generally about half a year to one year or along with the main equipment. The maintenance and inspection items are: 1. If the wear of the bearing raceway, cross shaft journal and roller or the pressure gauge is greater than 0.025mm, it needs to be replaced. 2. If the wear of the contact surface between the bearing end face and the retaining ring is more than 0.35mm, it needs to be replaced. 3. The spline pair shall be replaced if its mating surface wear is more than 0.35mm. The above maintenance work can be entrusted to our company by agreement.
